The main Haitian farmers organizations are calling for national and international solidarity, to which the CoEH is responding by publishing this solidarity note on our site.
On April 28, 2023, the main Haitian farmers organizations published a note of solidarity with Haitian farmers. The signatory organizations denounce the acts of repression, land grabbing, arrests and unrestrained violence throughout the country. The organizations also strongly denounce the inaction of the Haitian state, which suggests that this violence against peasants serves the interests of the government and certain powerful groups.
